2009 President's Message
It is my pleasure to announce that Chris Welsh will be taking over as President of the Poway Youth Basketball League. Chris is a veteran of PYBL and has been Director of the Boys Division for the past 2 years.
I am retiring from the League. I wish to thank the PYBL Board, the City of Poway, Poway Unified School District, our sponsors, coaches, referees, families and players for their tremendous help and support. The past 17 years with the League have been thoroughly enjoyable and rewarding for me.

Mission Statement
It is the mission of Poway Youth Basketball League (PYBL) to provide and promote a safe, recreational basketball program for the youth of Poway and its surrounding communities. To this end, PYBL encourages good sportsmanship, developing strong playing skills, and promoting friendly relationships among the players, coaches, referees and parents.
Poway Youth Basketball League
For over twenty years the Poway Youth Basketball League has been providing an excellent opportunity for boys and girls to learn about and enjoy the wonderful game of basketball. Over the years, the league has continued to grow and now serves 1000 boys and girls, ranging in ages from third grade through high school. The league strives to maintain as its primary goal, to provide a fun, safe, recreational environment to play basketball.
