Poway Youth Basketball League
For over forty years the Poway Youth Basketball League has been providing an excellent opportunity for boys and girls to learn about and enjoy the wonderful game of basketball. Over the years, the league has continued to grow and now serves nearly 600 boys and girls, ranging in ages from early elementary school through high school. The league strives to maintain as its primary goal, to provide a fun, safe, recreational environment to play basketball.
Mission Statement
It is the mission of Poway Youth Basketball League (PYBL) to provide and promote a safe, recreational basketball program for the youth of Poway and its surrounding communities. To this end, PYBL encourages good sportsmanship, developing strong playing skills, and promoting friendly relationships among the players, coaches, referees and parents.
Playing Basketball Year Round
Rec League
Rec League is played in a fun and supportive environment. Our main rec league is during the Winter, however, we are exploring other seasons to hold Rec League
Titans Club
We form competitive teams beginning in 3rd grade. Our goals are to develop skills to compete at a high level and have fun while doing it.
Champions League
Champions League is for all those players with special needs, disabilities, and other challenges. Our goal is to provide these players a sense of accomplishment by learning basketball skills and being part of a team.
Special Events
Throughout the year, PYBL hosts special events that bring our players, families, and community together. From tournaments and skills challenges to fun community events, there’s always something exciting happening. Check back often to see what’s coming up and join the fun!
